Enabling Cookies in Your Web Browser

In order for Profile Update to work correctly, cookies must be enabled in your Web browser. A cookie is a small text file that stores information about your preferences on your hard disk. Profile Update uses cookies to present you with customized Web pages when you are updating your profile.

Note: Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.7 or later on the Windows platform is required to use Profile Update.

Internet Explorer prior to version 6.0

Complete the following steps to enable cookies in Internet Explorer (prior to version 6.0):

  1. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

  2. Click the Security tab.

  3. Select the Internet Web zone and do one of the following:

  1. Click OK.

Internet Explorer version 6.0 and later

Complete the following steps to enable cookies in Internet Explorer (version 6.0 and later):

  1. From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

  2. Click the Privacy tab.

  3. Do one of the following:

  1. Click OK.
